In a really good place. Like the complexity, fruit and finish. Very nice Chianti Classico. A little decant will help and it was better on second day but really a nice wine.

Nice deep red with plenty of character and some tannin with a dry finish. Lots of complexity while retaining some good drinkability.

Amarena cherries & dry herbs with a light, leathery finish. Smooth, clean, and went great with red sauce pasta and a secondo of sausages. Improved over the course of the bottle -3 hours- with no signs of stopping.

Well balanced, smooth. Bouquet is cherry and hint of tobacco.

Thin, fruity, not bad, but not memorable.

Black currant, toast, mineral, and mushroom nose. Vibrant and distinct palate; bright and structured; dark, fresh finish. 4/5

Fruity and soft and rather straight forward. Enjoyable but lacking finesse.

Full bodies, nice fruit and finish. Good compexity. Needed time to open - started a little closed. I would give more years but fine now with a hour plus decant. Was better on second day.

Very rich and full bodied with very ripe and warm red and black fruits, prunes and spices. You need to drink this a bit chilled otherwise the ripeness of the fruit becomes a bit too dominant. It has a pleasant acidity delivering some well needed freshness. But nice Chianti with an OK QPR (and clearly there was something wrong with my previous bottle).

Dusty cherry, mushroom, plum, cigar humidor. Paired well with pizza.

Purple red colour, quite dark for chianti Red cherrries on the nose, spicy oak, some barrique action going on here I think. Red bitter cherries, ripe tannins, spicy oak, a litttle mint and cedar. Modern style chianti , ripe with a nice bite to it. Just checked the tech sheet 24 months in barriques.

This felt unbalanced and disjointed with unripe fruits. I couldn't detect any obvious flaw, but I sure hope that this bottle was flawed and that my next one will perform better, and than I will happily mark this bottle as flawed instead of a score of 80, but I have some doubts that this will be the case. Update Jan 2022 : next bottle performed much better, so this one was flawed.

PnD let air for 3hrs. Clear deep ruby. Clean. Medium intensity with aromas of sour cherry green peppercorn fennel Parmesan rind and soy sauce. Dry. Medium alcohol. Medium(+) acidity. Medium(+) tannins. Medium body. Medium intensity with flavours of sour cherry green tea fennel and amaro. Medium(+) finish with brisk grippy cherry and black tea finish. Drink now suitable for further ageing. Somewhat austere but very interesting on the Burgundian side of Chianti. I expect this to get better over the …
