Birthday dinner with high-school friends : Not a very good wine. One-dimensional with artificial candied note, bitter finish.

Al naso molto profumato, ottimo mix di frutti a bacca bianca, fiori e spezie. Al palato, fresco, sapido e minerale. Aromatico, elegante e di medio corpo. Frutta fresca. Molto molto buono.

tactile fruit–citrus, white peach–with excellent acidity that makes this wine feel complete. No oak influence. Very elegant.

Clean, melon, mineral. Very easy drink, round in the mouth, but still showing very present acid. Shows just a touch of flintiness on the palate. Wheat paste with a sparkle, but the palate isn't full of peaks and valleys.

Clean, attractive and compact nose of green apple and mineral. Palate bursts with racy acidity. Some more apple and river water notes. Clean and crisp. Fresh finish. This is simple but totally gulp-able acid-driven chard. Nicely done at the price point.

Fairly enjoyable, with a medium bodied palate of stone fruit, citrus and just a hint of toasty oak, although there's nothing particularly distinctive or memorable about it

Prince Saturday tasting - Girardin (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street) : on the nose medium minus intensity aromas of honey, rock melon and peach. With time spice and slight cheesy notes come to the fore. In the mouth the spice and cheesy notes dominate the fruit. There is a front of tongue burring and the wine becomes a little astringent on the medium plus length. Hmm.
