Te Awanga Estate Syrah One Off Dark Night

This was the last bottle in a dinner revolving around tasting a stack of wines with a pack of culinary winos. Unfortunately it followed some other great wines, and it fell a bit short. Appreciating that one-offs can go one of two ways, we found this one comparatively bitter, very forward on the palate with earthy, forest floor flavours, and just a bit unbalanced.
