Domaine de la Marfée Pays d'Hérault Les Vignes Qu'on Abat

So I wanted to try another one of these to confirm my last impressions, and yes, this is amazing wine. Decanted for some hours this time which helped to bring out the beautiful aromas of green olives, blood, pepper, juniper and crunchy red fruit, really reminding me of a N.Rh. Syrah. Very aromatic on the nose and lovely fresh, medium bodied palate with fine tannins and a long, savory finish. Great stuff. 17.5+/20

Blood/iron, meaty, spicy, bell pepper; medium bodied on the palate, fresh, crunchy, juicy red fruit, finely balanced, with lovely, grippy but fruit coated tannins. Delicious sweet red fruit lingering on the long finish. 100% carignan. Surprising, excellent and still youthful wine. 17.5+/20
