Monopole with sommeliers: herbal nose, dome dill, ripe cherry, but under it had vegetal, moldy earth, tomatoe leaf, nutmeg; rugged earthiness...

Anita: Dark purple; nice wild fruity nose at first; extremely tart before I let it air out--then soften up--great after watermellon! (because of sweetness?); a bit of veggie in there, a bit of mineral, but not bad--gives it character; silky bod, very supple. Very tart, but good everyday drinker. Low t’s, hint earthy spicy-minerals-veggie. But bright dark cherry tart fruit is what makes this.

Junoon Steph visit--a brawny tough pinot, with definite oak and real personality. Deep fruit is there, but this is a bit of "tough love" for the Francophiles...
