Medium dark ruby. Reticent nose, prunes, black fruit. Pleasant palate. Fruit and soft powdery tannins well matched and quite enjoyable. Supporting acidity is adequate. Medium finish.

Fun to buy cheap-ish Bordeaux from good years and hold on to it for a while, and that strategy paid off here. Silky-smooth merlot, slight bite and structure from the Cabernet, no rough edges and a respectably long finish. Maybe 2-3 years of peak drinking left?

Seemed much better than last bottle. Better depth and complexity. Tannins soft but still there, earthy and fruity notes.

Continues to drink well - dark red color. Dill, black cherry, red currants, slightly herbal on nose. On palate, medium body, bright red fruit, medium+ acidity & medium finish. Well integrated tannins. Very food friendly - would buy again $20USD or under. 90+ (straight up ignoring QPR).

Nice enjoyable little Bordeaux. Light body, soft tannins, good acidity, very well balanced and straight wine. May lack in depth but has a nice Bordeaux finesse!

Pop/pour. No detailed notes. General impressions - a pretty casual wine. No rough edges. Relatively light in body. Pleasant enough, but certainly doesn't invite you to overindulge on it. Better with food than as a sipper. May improve with air, or time in the bottle, but I'm not entirely confident about that. Not sure there's enough fruit to provide the mileage.

Consistent with my note from 8/2012. "Tobacco, cedar, dill, wet stone, black cherry on nose. On palate, more fruit driven - black cherry, dried cherry, red currants. Medium body, nice acids & medium+ finish. 90+/-" Excellent QPR and would buy again. Great with pan seared pork chops. 90++

Inexpensive Bordeaux with a good qpr. it improved on day 2 with a nice mouthfeel and blossoming finish although a bit of heat now. It's hard to argue with the value here. Pop and pour and enjoy. I suspect it could use some more time as well.

Raspberry, wet rocks, drying tannins. Mid-palate flourish is well-timed. Ample acidity. Liking it, no hurry to open the next one but no need to hold off either.

very enjoyable sub $20 bordeaux. Color is on the lighter side for cabernet based blends only a few years old. Rim variation fairly pronounced. Nose is complex with loads of non fruit characteristics. tobacco, mint? herbaceous at any rate. Taste tends toward red fruits. Palate finishes well, I tend to agree with others that it is not fully integrated over front/mid/back, but for the price it is great. For what it is worth here is the garagiste note: 2009 Chateau …

Popped and poured. Weird nose sharp alcohol and undistinguished fruit. Nice, almost clear dark plum color. Flavors of fresh red fruit, nice acid and earth. A nice drinker but nothing really special

Aromatic on the nose, yet delicate, with red fruits, a hint of floral, and noticeable spice. Oddly, a sweaty feel that suggests "secondary" but this is too young for that??? On the palate, more of the same, although a bit less integrated than the nose would suggest. A slightly astringent and hollow finish keeps my score down on this one. If this last note blows off with a bit of time, this could be a killer QPR. As it is, …

I think this could use another year or two in the cellar, but this was a very good bottle of wine for $17.

One thing amazing about this <$20 bottle is the nose is damn near the same as most $200 bottles -- really nice, classic Bordeaux nose. Pretty decent on the palate, though a bit hallow on the mid palate. Good red fruit. Medium bodied, good acidity, not very long finish.
