Eric Kent Wine Cellars Chardonnay Russian River Valley

Bright golden color. Tropical aromas give way to apricot and lemon custard flavors on the palate, on the way to a medium finish. Still drinking very young.

Medium straw color. Nose is toasted almond, light citrus, beeswax, hint of tropical fruit. Medium to full mouthfeel. Round on the front end, focused in the middle and a slight acidity lift up the backend. Oak plays major role in flavors, toasted, hint of vanilla, spicy wood, fuji apple, lemon zest, lingering beeswax.

A really exceptional California Chardonnay. Yes, it's fruit-forward. Yes, it's full-bodied. Tropical fruit flavors get some acidity from an almost pineappley-appley note that keeps it all from getting cloying. I tasted the oak as a kind of butter toffee taste--like the inside of a Heath bar. It was excellent with Corn, Basil & Farro salad, and would be equally good with grilled shrimp.

Banana and honeydew up front, long vanilla and toffee finish, with just a little hint of oak. Beautifully balanced for a very California style Chard, some grip and acidity holding that buttery quality at bay. Gorgeous.

Great Chardonnay, all of his Chardonnays have been stellar

A whole bunch of Wines (mostly Sonoma) with friends (Chris and Renee's) : Light gold in color. The nose is really nice with pineapple, other tropical fruits, slight grapefruit notes. Lovely oily texture. Nice acidity. Creamy mouthfeel. Just the slightest amount of oak on the palate, but not distracting, blends seamlessly with grapefruit and some tropical notes. Long finish. A very nice Chard. There are more and more Cal Chards that I am liking. A nice trend.
