Really great at this point. Showing some signs of maturity (dried red fruit) but still vibrant and fairly youthful. More French than Australian in style

Ruby-purple. Prominent pepper nose and palate. Super fresh. Blackberries. Black currant. Raspberries. Long. Very good indeed. 91-92

Advanced colour, pale garnet; lovely red fruit, polished; fully evolved, supple, graceful. À point.

Deep colour; lots of spiciness, berried fruit - blueberry & others, neat; shapely palate, well weighted, fresh, Côte Rôtie style, sculpted - on the lean side; very well balanced. Drink over next five years.

Year on year the syrah offering from Luke keeps getting better. This benefitted from time in bottle and was a truly enjoyable cool climate Yarra valley syrah. Notes of white pepper and black fruits come through with a smooth finish on the palate. Great stuff.

Solid damson colour; a well crafted French Syrah-like bouquet, a melange of subtle dark fruits; supple, well shaped palate, a core of soft tannins; a sturdy, well nourished finish, - this should open out more with a couple more years. Marvellous.

Cool climate Syrah from the Yarra Valley. Some chilled blueberries, lingonberries, tulip stems. Good freshness, medium body. Very food friendly.

A lovely full bodied but French style of Syrah (rather than Shiraz). Spicy, rounded fruit and lots of depth. I wouldn't touch again for a few years, allowing complexity to build.

This is really delicious. Quite simple and gluggable in some ways, but it's complex in others. Very clean floral aromatics, blackberry jam and playdo/plasticene, some paprika and whole-bunchy spice in there too. The palate is quite light bodied for a Syrah, but there's firm tannic grip on the finish. Would be great with a little sleep in the cellar.
