J. Confuron-Cotetidot Chambolle-Musigny

Classic style burgundy. Drinking beautifully at 13 years old. Lovely dark fruit with a great backbone of earthy spice. Went perfectly with our Christmas cassolette.

Color: Pale cherry red; Nose: Clear, medium (-) intensity, fruity and earthy notes, medium (+) complexity Taste: Dry, high acidity, low tannin level, fruity, spicy and earthy aromas, low-bodied, no real oak notes, medium complexity, very good length Amazing harmony, but seems really to simple for that price in its flavors I really like the style of the wine (I am a fan of Chambolle-Musigny!), but from an objective point of view a bit of a disappointment!

popped and poured and that was prob an error on my part. needed a bit of air to blow off the tightness. my last glass(one hr later) was def more pure and enjoyable than my first. need to have this again, giving myself more time to enjoy it properly

Stick this little puppy in a decanter if you are tempted to broach in the immediate future - I know that might be heresy to the purists in the Burgundy community, but this really does loosen this up and reap benefits. At first this is tight and pretty lean, the vintage and the Chambolle-Musigny character combining to strip the teeth - but over tine the flavours and aromas start to unfurl and reveal nuances of rose, cherries, dirt, balsamic.
