Torre Raone Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Lucanto

I needed today this glass of wine, so it is a 90 today. Deep purple red, Pleasant nose, cassis Fruity, cherry and black fruit, spicy, just a bit of acidity and tannins to avoid a jammy wine (which is not my kind of wine), 14.5% Solo, with cheese, grilled chicken or beef rafu. My day ended with a new york pizza, and the wine compensated a lot!

With a simple pasta bolognese and grilled zucchini. I like this, not too complex, but definitely not a simple wine. Nice hints of tannins, blackberries and black pepper, acidity is just right for tomato sauce. Not a fruit driven wine, but nicely layered.

Bit young but showing potential.
