WineX had(has) this has $20/bottle again, after having the 2013 version a year or so ago also at the same price. Not sure what's going on with this bottling as it normally sells for $60+. That 2013 was pretty weak and I wanted to see how this 2017 fared in comparison. Well, not much better. This was not bad, with some nice cherry notes, but it came across as a bit flabby, suffering from a lack of acidic lift. Overall, …

Again, tasted over two days and this bottle drank mostly like the two previous bottles. I did notice some candied fruit this go around, though. I have a feeling I'm not the only one who found this wine underwhelming - WineX had many cases of this that they were blowing out at less than half price. WineX is all out, but you can buy this from the winery's website for the bargain price of $80/bottle!

Pretty much the same as the last bottle - drinkable but only that. Flavor profile lacks fruitiness and is a bit weedy (not in a good way). Seems a bit flat. Lacks depth. Drank over two evenings - consistent throughout but maybe a slight improvement in weight on the second evening. Have one more bottle purchased at $23. Yesterday, WineX put this as their daily offer $20. Needless to say, I'm not picking up any more. I'm sure WineX sold …

WineX has a stack of these on sale for $23. Normally $45, so I thought I needed to give it a try. On the pop ‘n pour, slightly reductive, weak nose - rather unpleasant. Weird, grayish color, too. Fortunately, this mostly blew off, but was still weak and indistinct. On the palate, there was virtually no fruit and it presented quite lean and a bit flat, lacking acidic energy. After an hour or so, this started to pick up a …

de Lancellotti Lachini Vineyard Pinot Noir 2013 presents a fresh face—one that is composed of feminine, slightly stemmy raspberries and dewy rose petals. The nose is a bit deceptive, because this intriguing 2013 shows more concentration than one might expect, with caressing, silky layers of Rainier cherries, red forest berries and cranberries swathed in a slender band of earth, forest floor and spice. Paul de Lancellotti employs biodynamic farming practices and I can appreciate the nuance and balance in his …

Crimson gray color. Cherry cedar nose. Strong tannins. Tobacco and leather are the first impressions. Smoky hazelnut on the finish. None of the stone terroir I usually associate with Willamette pinots. Overall a pleasant if not inspiring wine.
