some notes here made me nervous prior to opening but no need to worry. Lovely Bordesux style wine. Perfectly drinkable, lovely cab character (on the ripe side) mature and drinking really well. A lovely complex wine.

Beyond its best but still ok. Quite brown,Very savoury flavours, little fruit left.

- Garnet color - For 20 yrs old, truly a wonderful wine that evolved over the 4 hrs of drinking + held its fortitude to a italian steak w/risotto dinner. Aerated through strainer but still threw fine sediment (leading to hangover effects) despite excellent cellaring. But what a find. If you have one of these, drink it now and enjoy!

Stored at 55 degrees, humidity controlled, since release. Slight brick color. Medium bodied. Lovely cab/merlot nose: pencil lead and light berry. Tannins soft, with a silky mouth feel. A half hour after decanting, good fruit and balance. Not a complex wine, but lovely and fully mature -- very enjoyable. Drink over next year.

Decanted for 1hr. Excellent bottle, drink now.

Enjoyed with a wonderful steak dinner- bottle really needs time to open up and breathe. Once it was decanted for 45 minutes to an hour the acidity mellowed and it really opened up.

Well, Wrighty was right... We opened the bottle, cork in good shape, and bouquet not powerful but optimistically fruity. Decanted for 1/2 an hour and tasted with our steak dinner, and we were not at all pleased...too much astringency, confused, difficult to identify...(past its prime?). Flat at first but after a couple of hours blanced out. Colour's deep burgundy, nose is limited - some tar. Palate was initially all sweet cherry but after 2 hours the tannin and acidity came back! and it had developed a finish - you could almost pour two glasses two hours apart and think they were different wines. Fully evolved and with tanins very much tamed, this wine was great with bistecca a la Fiorentina.

Still young, deep ruby colour, an explosion of fruit, very smooth and long.
