Vignobles Verdier Sancerre Le Pavillon du Roy Rosé

A better showing than the previous bottle. A bright and mineral-driven wine that still drinks like rose.

This is a slightly harsh and spicy rose.

Light blush color. Fairly light and delicate, some red flower, mineral. Tartness when first poured, and a rambling finish.

Great with Tuna steak

I love Sancerre Rosés and this one is quite nice. A lovely soft bouquet, appropriately rose scents. Crisp acidity and soft fruit. Not overly complex but a very nice wine for this price. Drinks beautifully.

Color: light salmon with clear edges Nose: very muted nose: mild strawberry, daffodil, dry gavel Palate: unripe peach and tangerine, touch of white pepper Mouthfeel: starts fairly soft but brings pretty heavy acidity, med-long finish Decent rose surprising layers as it opens. Would buy again @ $17.
