Smells like Christmas! Red fruits, cranberry, dried fruits, citrus peel, cinnamon and spice. Medium body with gentle tannins and very slight leather on the aftertaste. Bought for cooking but quite drinkable. Excellent value on Majestic mix-six prices.

A surprisingly lovely and extremely easygoing Pinot, and surely the best Romanian wine I've tried so far. Straightforward gluggable fruit and well-balanced acidity, it probably fills more of a non-cru Beaujolais niche than anything 'serious', but who cares when the wine tastes this good?
