La Corte Ré

Vinho com aromas de carvalho e terra preta, bem equilibrado e estruturado, bastante amadeirado mas com os taninos domados, harmônico. Ótimo vinho italiano.

I really like this one. Concentrated, fragrant and delicious. Wish I had more. 50+5+12+18+8=93

Sensational nose and a balanced taste make this an outstanding wine. Still young I only drank half on day one to see the evolution with added oxygenation. I will adjust the rating as needed after subsequent tasting. If anything this wine opened more and was better on day two. I leave the rating from day one but could see adding a point to the overall rating bringing the total to 94. 50+5+12+18+8=93

Wines and BBQ (Claus B) : Short notes here though I really liked this wine. Must have lost focus. My notes read fresh, powerful tannins and a great structure. Great QPR. A fine wine that I would like to revisit.

<Ebelz> Plums, prunes, vanilla and some heat on the nose. Very backward right now. Not much happening on the front half of the palate, but some deep fruit hidden right now by chocolate, a HEALTHY presence of wood, and some strong tannins. Time helped tame the wood somewhat, thankfully, but still not showing up to expectations. I'd expect this to improve with age... but how much AND how long? not sure, and I wouldnt bet on it either. Somewhat disappointed …
