Truly awful. Grapey flavor. Yes, grapey. Maybe some cherry. Hardly any body, and what’s there isn’t good. This is the kind of swill that gives merlot a bad name. Difficult to drink. Somewhat surprising given that the 2007 was more than drinkable. I actually tried a second bottle several days later to see if it was so consistently awful. It was. Avoid.

Had @ NY Marriot Marquis. Bland red marked by plum, cherry and burnt oak notes. Medium-bodied & off-dry w/young tannins, low acidity & moderate finish.
