This has turned into an excellent wine. Drinking beautifully now...well-balanced, nice fruit with excellent acidity and some minerality - has a typical quinine/grapefruit quality. Just lovely and pushing the 90 pt range, now.

Reaffirming my love for this wine...what a steal! Wonderful peach and pineapple notes compliment wet rocks on the nose. Clean, bright, and fresh on the palate, with good persistence. I can only hope the 2010 is as good as this.

another stunner from ricard. sharp, focused nose with fresh grass and kiwi/passion fruit, pure and clean on entry revealing a ball of rock and acid softened by a latent fruitiness. long, biting finish. no excess fat from the vintage. amazing stuff for $12

N: Dust, lime, and green apple. P: Wonderful stone element on the attack. Fresh, with nice balance. Acidity is there and provides an excellent backbone but is integrated well with really nice green apple flavors. A bit of a green grass note at the end, continues to play with my palate for 30 seconds +. Great SB for the start of summer, wish I had more!

nice old world Loire SB; fresh on palate and full acidity takes a hour or so to settle; full citrus and green apples in balance; does wonders with spicy Indian food

Have to start with saying it had a great, classic SB nose. Lots of hay, melon and a bit of cat pee. But, like most SB's of late, just find it a bit too sour on the palate. I think I have just lost it for this varietal.
