Made frizzante style, this is a semi sweet wine that is pleasant enough to drink but is not my style preference, leaning heavily on a strong cherry and rhubarb base flavor.

Had this with cheesecake. Made a very nice pairing. Our entire group enjoyed it. It is sweet, not quite syrupy, but definitely heavier than most red wines. What I liked was actually being able to taste the wine through the sweet. It wasn't so over the top that you lost the wine entirely.

Too Mateus for me! I left that taste in college. And the bottle wasn't even good to mount a candle. Actually, I should read labels better and pay less attention to Points assigned. It might be better as an apertif, but definitely did not enhance the spaghetti dinner.
