Deepest maroon. Jammy without being overly confected, peppery and warming, plenty of ripe frutti di bosco. Wouldn't want to drink this all the time, but a lovely match for peppery kebabs.

Medium nose shows black cherry, raspberry, sweet herbs, mesquite. Palate is tasty up front, spices again, stewed fruit but subtle, raisinated slightly, black plum, medium tannins frame it well. Nice expression and example of type.

I was really interested in trying this and maybe my expectations were a bit high. It was nice, but I found it a bit more diffuse than I expected in the way that Chateauneuf or DO Madrid can seem to me sometimes. It was still a nice wine and not flabby maybe I just caught it as a weird time or I was off.

deep purple, garnet rim, raisins, black cherry jam, blackberry, cinnamon, herbal aromas, quite mature, maybe over its peak, a bit like an amarone, on the palate medium high tannins, good acidity and very concentrated, kirsch notes, jammy, vanilla, flowers. Syrupy with grippy finish. Very nice

Lots of blackberry and blueberry fruit, somewhat cooked/marmeladeish. Nice spicyness with cinnamon & cloves. Medium bodied, excellent structure, long. The high alcohol very nicely hidden.

You rarely drink a Primitivo of this caliber. From vines 75 years old, the wine is very elegant and balanced yet powerful. At 15.5% ABV, it shows no signs of the “too-much-of-everything” problems that so often occur at this ABV. Blackberries, figs, cherries with a slight hint of vanilla. Full-bodied with great depth and roundness. Check out my blog at misternordin.com!

True or False: Would I Lie to you? Fine wines of the world tutored & panel game (Berry Bros & Rudd, London) : Lots of sweetness here from nose to core. Silky light tannins long melted away. Liquorish. Light on the body. Difficult to rate too! will not be buying any of these.
