Nostalgia in every sip. 2014 is an incredible vintage for WA, on the verge of insane heat and smoke in the air. Bursting of dark fruits but with a long smooth finish. This wine never disappoints!

I found the sappy fruit and strong oak notes to be decidedly unpleasant. I have a sentimental attachment to this winery, so found this especially disappointing. There were folks at the table who didn’t mind the wine, so didn’t want to rate lower.

Medium ruby red. A bit stinky on the nose with a cheese like aroma that develops into some bitter cocoa, dark berries and some minerality. Medium tannins (6/10) and medium plus bodied. Quite fruity and dark on the palate with spiced herbs and some cocoa. Long finish. Drink till 2024.
