PnP, Riedel Bx. Litt mye kjeller lukt rett etter åpning. Blåser bort. Og de går over i bjørnebær og tørket frukt. Kraftig smak med bjørnebær, tobakk, rik og lett sødmefull frukt. Leverer over forventning. Jordbær . Litt ubalanse trekker ned

Raisins, nightshade, menthol, some mushroom, no sediment at all really threw me off, not a ton of oxidation either. Has held up well but wouldn't expect it to get any better as it's really soft.

Red fruit, old leather, and a bit of earthiness. Soft on the palate, medium body, acidity is still holding. Dry finish. Drink now as this is still drinking well, but may fade in a few years.

A nicely tasty aged Rioja. Showed flavors of leather, dried tomato, herbs, and plum. Paired well with carne asada, as it helped cut some of the spices. I liked this wine and would happily buy more if I could find it.

Dried cherry, stewed plum, fruits, soft, light entry, dusty lower tannins, a touch classic herbal spice/pot-pouri; a bit sour on the palate, high acidity, very nice aroma, but dissipates quickly on the palate and just a bit over the hill and sour. That being said, a solid, well-priced older Rioja.

Funky but enjoyable nose that carries through to the wine itself with raisin and spice notes. A little short and simple, but smooth and very drinkable. Not past peek, which was my fear, but drink now as its not going to get any better.

Poured completely blind an guessed Rioja with some age. So definately tastes typical. Nose shows stewed berries, graphite, some briar, and light soil. Really the nose is dominated by an assortment of delicious mature red and dark fruits. The thick deep fruit (plums, blackberries, cherry) continue onto the mid-palate. Still tannic showing pleasing dryness coupled with a dark berry flavored cupcake on the finish which lingers for 30 seconds.a pleasing drink.

Decanted for about an hour before serving. Smooth, earthy, dark fruit, mild chocolate, medium bodied with a nice finish. Very old world taste. Enjoyed this one a lot.

Til Lamme-slagside-form. God lukt av mørke bær, bjørnebær, fruktig. Lukter og smaker litt som Dessertvinen Banyuls . Kompleks, aprikos/fersken lukt. 1 dag i flaske: Nydelig smak, vanilje og mørke bær blåbær og bjærnebær, svart hyll :-D

Classic Rioja Reserva, oaky of course, but French oak, so not overpowering. Medium to full-bodied. The best thing about this bottle was that I had bought it, a '98, only days ago (at an extraordinarily reasonable price for almost 10-year-old Rioja Reserva). I wish producers in other countries would follow the Spanish practice of holding bottles off the market until they are at proper drinking age. It only needed about a half-hour of decanting to lose the acidic edge and …

A very good rioja. Dark fruit, vanilla, chocolate and minerals make this an outstanding wine. It was more interesting 24 hours later. Should cellar well for another 3-5 years.

Very good for the price. Deep concentration of colour, almost black. Subtle but quality notes of blackberry, cassis and pencil shavings. Full-bodied with soft tannins and balanced acidity. Tried 1/2 bottle next day and found the fruit more pronounced but less complex. Should hold up for several more years.
