It has been a while since we drank this but I recall that it is ready and a big Pinot.

Plenty of acid but a little less fruit than I might have liked. I'm not convinced this needs to be consumed now as some have noted, but then again I have no other experience with this wine or producer. (When I tasted at the winery years ago upon release, this was my favorite among the lineup tasted at the winery.) 12.5% ABV.

Thin and sour on opening. After an hour much better. Deep ruby in color some fruit and mild tannin remain. Drink up.

Might be a little late to be drinking this, and we have a couple more bottles. Right now we have red fruit, acids that are good with food and not balanced by themselves. The tart flavors are overwhelming the good fruit flavor. There is a nice earth presence.

2nd bottle I've tasted in last 5 months. Nose is weak, but a heavy overpowering pinot. Lacks the finesse of his father's wines.

After continuously hearing all the excitement of the '12 vintage here in Oregon I decided to open this guy up. While full of potential, I am guilty of impatience. A nice array of red fruit and spice, but time is on its side. Will try this one again in a few years.
