Deep garnet red. Port-like nose and dark with slight earthiness and raisins. Loamy soil like characteristics on the palate with dark red berries. Medium tannins (6.5/10) and medium bodied. Dry overall feel. Long finish. Drink now.

No notes taken. Decanted 1 hr. No sediment, perfect cork. Big deep red purple '06 color. Medium 1.5% milk body. Nice blackberry, blueberry, cedar, vanilla, limestone, a touch of clay. Well integrated fruit throughout. Decent finish length of about 50 seconds. All the ZAPers enjoyed it. Nice now and can easily cellar another few yrs for different development. A bit like a heavier version of S. Africa's Sequilo. 91/90 pts.

The color reminds me of dripping from a grilled medium rare steak where the reddish color is so dark it borders on black. On the nose, I immediately pick out vanilla bean, dark spices, plum, clove, tar and mulberry. Maybe I'm hungry, but every time I look at and smell this wine, I want meat.
