At Boston Wine + Poker, Sudbury, Mass.: Tasted blind. Very pale. Smells quite reduced (burnt rubber). Very dry, intense flavor, with some edge. Underlying pear flavor. Very good. This was paired with the 2012 Lorentz Riesling Kanzerberg -- that one was unsurprisingly more developed and had more complexity -- and it was only tasting the two of them together that we were able to identify them as Alsatian.

A superb Grand cru. Lemon, petrol, clementine with salinity in a medium concentrated mouth. Long great finish.Drink now, I would not wait because it is excellent now and I prefer this kind of wine younger than older.
