Mostly purple and dark fruits on the nose accompanied by dried herbs and licorice. Beautiful, well integrated, paper-y tannins. Medium bodied herbal (rather than fruit forward) wine, made for food, but very very drinkable.

Dense garnet colour. Rather oaky at first, rather like masonite. Opens up on notes of dark berries, fresh herbs (thyme and rosemary), licorice or aniseed and a touch of strawberry jam at the back. Medium bodied palate, balanced, lively and slightly harsh with medium finish. Drink in 3-8 years.

This wine had good color (very deep) and good body, but it was lacking in freshness. Very heavy on the plum without what we suspect would have been more subtlety and complexity had we drunk it a couple years ago. Drink up!

Pop and poured. Drank over 2 hours. Appearance is clear, deep intensity, ruby with purplish tinges. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of red plums, dark red cherry, violets, licorice, sweet spice, cigar, earth, minerality, and slight leather. Developed. On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium- alcohol(12.5%!), smooth supple medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of ripe red plums, dark red cherry, licorice, sweet spice, rustic chalky minerality, earth, slight leather. Medium+ finish. Very good …

- Brick color with medium forming legs. It's somewhat balanced with a medium/full body. Linear texture with a long finish.
