Smokey, cherry nose, red fruits and a lot of earth and bramble with a bit of bitterness on the finish. Medium-bodied+ with a slightly rough texture. Overall, a sort of "wild" character and definitely less elegant than prior bottles.

Another nice bottle. Smokey, dusty, cherry nose; bright red fruits with good depth and intensity, cola and a lot of bramble on the palate. Medium-bodied with a rugged texture, firm structure, good grip and a lingering finish. Full-flavored and masculine in a Sta. Rita Hills style, and both satisfying and easy to drink. A lot more sediment than I usually experience with a pinot.

Did not take notes, but this was very nice, especially for the $. Bright red fruits, earth, spice and oak in a lithe package. Nice balance and grip, along with good intensity.

Deep garnet color. Red cherries on the nose. Medium body. Lively. Flavors evolve somewhat on the palette from bing cherry, then a little smoke or cedar, through to soft, velvet finish with a pleasant tartness on the finish. Well balanced. Very drinkable now. No huge benefit likely with extended cellar time. Fresh and ready to go now.
