Domaine Cornu Pernand-Vergelesses Sur Herbeux

This was a random singleton auction purchase for less than €19 all-in that way overdelivered for the price. At first I read the lieu-dit as "Herbeux" (grassy) rather than "Herbaux" (apparently a last name); the former would have seemed especially appropriate as this wine winningly married generous, supple fruit (primarily stone fruit) with an attractive grassy & mineral note.
