Crazy 9 varietal blend, intense red-black raspberries and minty-vanilla on a creamy peppered long finish. Kind of a Cali CNdP I suppose...really nice aromatics especially with extra air time. Guessing patience has rewarded it. A lot of bang for the buck, pretty surprising in fact.

Very pleasant. The missus opened when I was working, so only drank on night two. Very smooth, full bodied, pleasant fairly complex dark fruit. Nice finish.

Improved very much with time. Full bodied dark red wine. Bold. Didn't pair well with salmon but very much a cocktail wine/spicy food. Big finish.

I probably liked more than the missus. Opaque. Full-throttle nose. Good dark fruit with some heat attached. Some may think too much, even for those who like over the top wines. I felt it tinge the back of the tongue but thought it complemented spicy food.

Rough mouthfeel, big ripe fruit, hot. Bought six and similar notes for all tried over two years. Could be OK with BBQ or other full flavor fare but not good on its own, even with an hour of air. Mostly Zinfandel is my guess, peppery and brambly. Not much finesse — yuck.

Big, bold blend. Decanted for 30 minutes and well worth it. Took some of the heat out of the glass and allowed the wine to open up nicely.

The 2013 The Imposter is a blend of 45% Zinfandel, 26% Syrah, 9% Petite Sirah and the rest Grenache, Carignan, Mourvedre, Alicante. This was a recent last bottle purchase. At the present time, the nose and first sip (PnP) is dominated by alcohol and firm tannins, muting the underlying big fruit. When that dissipates, there is good fruit and spice, not overly complex. Syrah fruit is front and center. Needs a few more months to settle down, would revisit thanksgiving

A large bouquet of dark fruits to the nose. The flavors immediately are fruit forward with sweet prunes and dark cherry dominating. Finish includes black olive and has a pasty mouthfeel.
