CedarCreek Estate Winery Chardonnay Platinum Block 5

Chardonnay made @ a very high level - top notch IMO. Coherent, in a mature style, yet fresh with light wood & lees influence. The fruit is starting to fade but there is still plenty of tang & structure. Sea salt lingers on the finish now - cool.

This wine is almost Chablis-like (as opposed to Meursault) … clean, aromatically discreet - with low wood impact. It seems to be more focused on bright citrus, green apple & mint on the nose. The palate is lean & intense, tart & tangy. Untraceable MLF, so expect a sharper & refreshing acidity. Paired with Indian food – delivered, of course.
