Pale to medium red, translucent and weak feeling. Curious nose of bubblegum and seared cabbage - the latter in particular making me wonder if there was a problem but I don't think there is, it is just highly vegetal. On the palate it's fine, quite high-toned and acidic, lean and pretty thin for the vintage, which I don't mind. On day two it has filled out a little and has become dare I say it quite pleasant and easy-going in …

Robe bourgogne trouble. Pinot avec bcp de corps et une bonne structure. Sur des arômes de petits fruits rouges et cerise. A laisser vieillir encore 2-3 ans.

Light color/extraction. Very reductive at first, but that dissipated quite quickly after 15 minutes. Fruity, floral, nature in style. Good summer patio wine.

Really yummy wine! Very smooth at this point, good round fruit: red fruits mostly, but a fuller complexity that hints at purple fruits or even sous bois... Nicely balanced, but too acidic. Easy to quaff on its own. Not enormously aromatic, but very good for its price. Especially if, like me, you picked this up en primeur in his first season!

Heard good things about this producer and took a few bottles from his range from a sale. Opened this entry-level first, and was impressed by how restrained and elegant this was compared to numerous other 2019s. Quaffable and easy-going, good value at S$40.

On the nose the red fruit such as cherries, pomegranate, strawberries, red plums are quite present. I also detected a hint of barnyard/animal component. However, it wasn't too dominant but quite pleasant. Serious and fulfilling wine. Could drink this often! Give this wine another 1-2 years more. 89-90p.

Rubis clair. (**1/2+)

Red fruit, violet, herbs, medium to high body and acidity, but well balanced. Truly enjoyed the strong and dynamite expression of this bottle. I'm not a fan of whole bunch fermentation but this bottle makes a surprisingly good exception. Good QPR as well. Will def buy again.

Opened late at night after long evening but stunning all the same. Pure Pinot noir but lots of character and sense of place. Feels non intervention style of winemaking. Still young but enjoyable now.

Seemed well made, nice depth of red fruit, clean and crisp - solid Pinot. Would perhaps have benefitted from better glassware. Will keep buying, but this wine doesn't belie its status IMO, despite the positive reviews and cultish reputation.

Pure expression of Pinot Noir. The funk blows off to present fresh, tense fruit, and a very long satin / salt finish. Village Vosne in everything but the name.

This pours light ruby with flecks of pink toward to the rim. The nose is fairly tight aromatically, lightly reduced, but what is there is a style I really appreciate. Aromas of cherry, strawberry, wet soil, and river rocks waft gently. The palate is extremely impressive revealing much more of what this wine has in store. Lush cherry and pomegranate turn up on entry. Structurally the tannin is medium minus and acid is medium. The finish lingers impressively showing loads …

There is forest floor and a touch of plum on the nose. On the palette the first sensation is not so much the fruit, but the sensation of freshness, energy and zip from the supremely judged acidity whilst the mouth is coated by an explosion of delicious cranberries and fruits of the forest, with a lovely line of salinity in the background. The finish goes on and on and before you know it the glass is empty. A wonderfully pure …

Information about the wine For this wine, Boris Champy used Pinot Noir from the Le Clou parcel in Nantoux. The parcel is located at 377 meters above sea level. The soil of the parcel is characterized by white clay and a high percentage of limestone marl. Overall, this is a very stony vineyard that Boris calls his Châteauneuf. Some of the vineyards were planted in the 1980s with a cane density of over 10,000 using Guyot training. Boris Champy de-stemmed …

Information about the wine For this wine, Boris Champy used Pinot Noir from three different parcels, namely En Bignon in Bouze, Le Beaune and Le Clou in Nantoux, and Pierres percées in Saint-Romain. The soil of the plots is partly characterized by red clay, partly by white clay with high marl content. Some of the vineyards were planted as early as the 1980s with a vine density of over 10,000, some in Guyot, some in Lyra training. Boris Champy has …

Modne jordbær, kirsebær - let sødlig, men med fin syre, god balance og lang eftersmag. Champignon, tørrede blomster, æterisk citronskal.
