Had a glass of this in a wine bar last week that felt flabby and over ripe so wanted to pop one from the cellar and see if more of my Samuel Billaud 22 would suffer from the same issue. Luckily an on the money village Chablis. Mineral notes and oyster shell. Good stuff.

Beautiful aromas of white flowers, citrus. minerals, fresh, juicy, full of energy, lovely Chablis

have found better Chablis QPR. steeliness and bright fruit but thsts about it for me. acid also felt a bit low

Les Portes d'Or de la Bourgogne - Les Grands Jours de Bourgogne (William Fèvre's Vineyards - Chablis) : Walkaround tasting with producers. An impressive village wine. Floral with yellow and green apple showing so much energy, but also fun and bright.

Pretty much everything I'd want from a Chablis, with lots of lemon and other citrus fruit flavours over a base of vivid stony and rainwater flavours. Light on its feet with bright acids giving it plenty of energy on the palate, and while it's not an especially complex wine, it absolutely hits the spot on a hot day with serious refreshment value.

Ultra-dry Chablis showing a little straw on the nose and packed with seashells and lime peel on the palate. No shortage of mineral complexity for the price. Textbook stuff.

Ouvert une heure avant. Arômes d’agrumes, de citron confit, fluide, minéral avec une finale légèrement acide au début mais cette acidité d’estompe avec l’aération. Bien.

Nez très intense, minéral avec des notes de fleurs et d'agrumes. Bouche droite, énergique, dense et profonde. A la fois mûr, rond mais avec beaucoup de fraîcheur. Au niveau d'un premier cru, en raison de la complexité et de la longueur. Vraiment impressionnant pour un village !

BOOM. Real chablis - taut, lean, mineral, slate but with some peach and lemon notes. Really good stuff for the price - classy wine. Our new house Chablis. If this is your bog standard house wine, then life is good.
