ChTR kokous 15.05.2013 (SKO-toimisto) : Decanted, tasted double blind. A really dark red with a dark violet edge to it. Very strong on the nose, lots of cassis and quite a bit of oak, although not in an offensive way.. The palate was also very powerful, lots of dark fruits and lots of tannins. Not a bad wine, young and powerful, might like a couple of years in the cellar to calm down, still quite quaffable now.

Enofusión 2013 (Including Vega Sicilia´s Macan) (IFEMA - Madrid) : As ever, a quite expressive bottle with a mineral nose full of forest floor notes. Palate is less integrated, little harshly Very nice for what it is Como siempre una botella bastante expresiva con una nariz mineral llena de notas a sotobosque. En boca se muestra menos integrada, un poco áspera. Muy bien para lo que es.

Medium red. Unable to pick much out on this one either. The wine is a newer style blend with cab S and syrah... Doesn't ring out as Spanish to me. Decent balance, but a bit tannic. Syrah flavors show up in the palate and finish. Ends with some hints of black pepper. Decent wine in a light, new world style. probably could improve with some age and might show better next year... but I'm not sure it will improve much …

Big Fruit on the nose. Give it 10 minutes after pouring as it is very tight. Nice find.

Low expectations (Gonzalez-Byass a Sherry -South- brand making a red wine in Toledo -Central-) so...a very good bottle. Everything is mixed here: grapes (CS, Syrah, CF, PV, Graciano and Tempranillo) and oak (French and American). Vibrant red colour, almost Majorican. Lively nose: Gunpowder, crustaceans, barnacles, smoke, pine tree,.... Soft in mouth. Well-structured, balanced. Bitterness (CF, PV) when finishing, good lenght. Tamed tannins. Needs some air to blow up but seems to be ready. Truly recommended. Different and enjoyable. Bajas expectativas …
