William Chris Vineyards Picpoul Blanc Alta Loma Vineyard

This is a dynamic wine. Pale straw color. It initially has prominent clove notes, and reminds me of hefeweizen. As it opens up aromas of lemon peel, peach and honeysuckle come out. Cloves again in the finish. Very interesting wine, the aromas and flavors evolved over the course of a few hours.
