Light gold, hints of green. Quite rich but no way cloying. Lychees, gooseberry and wax. Touch of the hedgerow. Good acidity. Good length. Interesting and very decent drop.

Delicious wine with green apple and almost honeyed notes (coming from the Semillon) with a smooth slightly dry finish, a big flavourful quality wine which is almost Riesling like, that went superbly with Blue Swimmer crab cakes with chilli at a local restaurant.

Gourmet Traveller wine Sauvignon Blanc - Australia, France & New Zealand (Winespace, Surry Hills) : Struck match, the oak a little aggressive, a little clay/earth, backed by gooseberry, herbs. Palate has similar oak challenges . Perhaps lots of time will help but will the fruit sustain the journey?
