Aubert & Mathieu Corbières Marie Antoinette

Very nice value Syrah/Grenache blend from Corbières. Dense, dark color, and nice aromatic nose. Subjectively, I smell a dominating wave of ripe, dark plums and blackberries. Some black cherry and spices (mint, rosemary, pepper, clove). With 14% alc. it's on the more opulent end; however, the soft but still present tannins and just enough acidity are sufficient to keep it in balance without making it "jam-my". Finish is medium.
