Daniel Bouland Morgon Corcelette

this was exceptionally good. just what i look for in an aged cru Beaujolais. good fruit, acid, depth, everything.

Excellent Morgon with several dimensions of pretty red fruit, soil, cherry skin and stone. Groceries.

The fruit is lovely here, and there is a dark woodsy undertone, with crackly acids. the tannins are a bit rustic, which is fine. this is quintessential beaujolais on the nose, but it somehow doesn't get beyond that. what's there is lovely, but it doesn't stack up to the top Morgons.

mildly corked, enough to make me bring it back. but it's clear that there is lovely fruit here.
