Starting to hit its stride. Well executed reduction. Crystalline, tense, lengthy.

Really dense and sappy, with good acidity as expected, and lots of extract. Somewhat tropical for 17 with resolved oak. Just a hint of early oxidation though, like a few years too advanced for my expectation. Still really good.

Wow. Classic, old-school Chassagne! Short decant (though wish it had been longer) and evolved beautifully over the next couple of hours. Gorgeous lemon curd and hazelnuts initially. As it warmed in the glass floral notes, wild honey and subtle orchard fruits emerged. Wonderful minerality, gentle but ever-present acidity and a lovely long saline finish made it a joy to sip. No notes taken as this was brought to a restaurant, but I mentally noted that this is probably the best drinking Lamy-Caillat yet... either that or I'm just more impressed with the style over time. Still in its infancy of evolution, but the intensity and clarity shines through like a beacon throughout the wine. Incredible length and an impression that stays with you for a minute. Very impressive stuff. This bottle was actually best right after opening.

wow. very developed. smoky, earth, savoury. white peach, yellow fruits. med body, smooth, elegant. some cream, butter, but not fat. just at the right balance. reductive, flinty, med+ intensity. med acidity. hints of toast, long finish. wet stone, nice minerality, lemon zest. 17.5/20

Typical of the new wave of reductive white burgs which increasingly taste all the same. Not bad but not differentiated. I really don't understand why the critics love these wines?

Very clean, almost antiseptic on the nose, limited reduction. Bright palate, intense fruit and length.

Wine was decanted at noon and it's now 9pm. The aromas are still tight and compacted, but the decant did help mellow some of the intensity at first. The aromas do still come across as quite elegant, pretty and pure... it's so lovely, but due to the compactness you really do need to focus on it. When you do, you also get floral components, dehydrated star fruit, but the elegance its presented as that make this so enjoyable to smell. …

Very nice nose of citrus, hint of vanilla, lychee, exotic fruit... very nice taste of citrus, matchstick, exotic fruit, nice fatness, length of 30 sec! 93-95/100
