(Decanted for one hour) Deep red colour with a brick red hue with a mature nose showing barnyard, black pepper and a lovely violet and licorice note in a delicious way. Sweet primary fruit with silk smooth tannins and showing some acidity backing up the palate with a pepper touch on the lengthy finish. This was still showing very well, and matched the roasted lamb very well. (Best 2005-2025)

A little thin and highly acidic, but still very drinkable at almost 18 years old. Cedar and pencil shavings on nose, alongside red fruit. Raspberries and cranberries still clearly noticeable amongst earthy and mushroomy flavours. Possibly at peak, as short, drying finish won't support the cutting acidity as fruit shades.

Has good aroma... spices.. Not that bad of taste. Some tartness... not vinegar for me. Finish was ok.

Aromas of spice and pepper. Weak and metallic. Vinegar. Down the toilet with you!

Weak nose and thin body, very disappointing. The wine fell apart over the course of an hour or so and only cheese helped me finish it. Would not buy again or recommend, there are much better values for $12.

The color is a brilliantly clear ruby red. The nose offers medium intensity with some complexity. I detect cedar, bell pepper, blackberry, and blueberry. The palate has nice balance. The weight of the wine is medium/light. A fairly long tannic finish. A nice wine that would go well with something meaty. 50 + 4 + 12 + 15 + 7

Didn't pair well with the brie and prosciutto, made it a bit too bitey. Let it sit for a couple of hours and it got better. Had an odd smell to it that I can only discribe as a combination of mint and Smarties(candy). Had a hard time picking up any fruit on the palate. Definitely much different than the domestic wine I normally drink. Am thinking that this would have been better paired with a hearty meal. Not sure …
