Domaine Cherrier Père et fils Sancerre

Nose dominated by honey with some citrus. Strange for a Sancerre. Palate shows some of the minerality I expect. Good acidity and mouthfeel. Medium-length finish. Nothing fancy, but very good for a $10 Sancerre.

Delicious. Zingy, with lots of grapefruit that became even more pronounced on day 2.

Served with shrimp masala. The dish paired amazingly with the citrus and body of the wine. Light yellow color. Pear, citrus notes (grapefruit), limestone aroma. What you would expect from a Loire SB. Very minerally with good citrus and slightly off dry. Perfect balance. Medium body. Excellent wine.
