Much as remembered at first, tart and oaky 24 hours later. Seems like it has matured rapidly.

Light sediment when brought up, and at 14 years old I just poured in the glass. Tight and tart, sipped a bit and put into the refrigerator for a few days. Finally drank with braised short ribs, and finally truly delicious! Apparently this wine is just young, I wonder how recently it was bottled. My experience with lower priced Gran Reservas from Rioja is almost every time very bad. This one was closed on opening and dead after 15 minutes aeration. Not sure what this is good for. After 10 minutes of air the wine was alive for 2-3 minutes and even then tasted very austere.
