Similar impression to first bottle, a bit smoother, and did not notice the metallic. Contributed to tasty coq au vin as well.

Really nice wine. Probably just past peak. Fruit forward Malbec. Fine grained tannins, cherries, hint of rhubarb, menthol and dust.

Merryberry's note nearly the same impression, loamy texture with juicy blackberry/boysenberry acidity on the finish. Light touches of spice and somewhat grapey at times. Was solid with grilled burgers Day 1, but kind of fought the shepherd's pie Day 2 when it left a metallic impression, maybe needs charred meats? Also tasty on its own. Will keep another year or 2 no problem, but don't see it improving much from here.

Dark magenta. Spice, earth and raspberry nose. Light to medium bodied, cranberries, herbs, rustic cherries, soft tannins, and a long, boysenberry-infused finish. Well made and tasty.

Very dark. Red fruit, cedar, vanilla, plum. Rich body, smooth finish. Very nice. Oak is present, but not overpowering.
