Nice light fruit, minerality and acidity. I tasted minimal or no oak. Great with scallops and shrimp. Very nice wine.

Dead ringer for a 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet. All the floral citrus and velvet texture. Drinking beautifully now, with a few great years ahead.

Really nice Chardonnay for the price. I would buy it again.

Another great bottle of Bien Nacido Chardonnay. Had a little more acidity on the back end than the last two bottles so I marked it down a point but still a great bottle. Have three more from the half case initial purchase.

Very nice wine. Amazing purity and weight. Not your typical napa cab. Not overly oaked. Bright fruits. Great acidity. Nice structure with a rounded, refreshing finish.

Welcome home pt. 2 (FermentedBeast's Lair) : Deep and fresh pineapple aromas, crisp minerals, and cut grass. Cooler temperatures bring a gentle honey note with a really subtle gooseberry notes (relieving to finally find this on a white wine instead of a northern Cali Pinot). Palate is similar to the nose: fresh and deeply intense pineapple flesh, with its bitter crown, and minerals on the finish. Rich flavors with a curvy body but never heavy, delivering a big dose of …

Another terrific bottle. Beautiful fruit and balanced tannin structure with no big overwhelming amount of oak. Pineapple, vanilla, and some purity of fruit. Another exceptional bottle of La Pelle from the Bien Nacido Vineyard. A few more left to enjoy…..

Blind Santa Barbara pinot tasting (FermentedBeast's Lair) : N: Dark yellow fruits, pineapple skins, awesome subtle creaminess, and a gentle note of salty rocks. P: Ripe yellow fruits, dark pineapples, good acidity to keep fresh, fresh grass and soft salinity to the minerals with a nice bitterness. This seems like it can flex a couple of ways: serve at a cooler temp for more fresh burg style with nice swiftness on the palate, or allow it to come up in …

This was a phenominal Chardonnay. Light and refreshing that had a velvety texture but was completely balanced on the palate between acid and fruit. Absolutely loved it! Maayan is just a terrific winemaker. Truly enjoy his winemaking style.

Enjoyed this very much. The 19' Bien Nacido was my entry into this wine and this region and I love it. Very burgundian in style. Good weight on the palate and a departure from the big chardonnays that can come out of Napa. This didn't last long on the kitchen counter as it was the only white served, with a Giessen de-alcholized Sauv Blanc wine also served as a sort of thing to try, and for those who cannot drink …

Rich yellow color. The nose shows a complex mix of lemons, yellow apples and papaya, with nuanced elements of honeycomb, white flowers, nougat, salted caramel and sea breeze. The palate shows a pristine level of freshness and crisp appeal, with lemon drops, yellow apple and kiwi fruit. It also has this creamy texture, accented by minerals, mountain stream, with a deep atmosphere of honey, graham cracker and almond. Delightful balance, so bright and crystalline, this should also improve in the …

Water balloon fights and BBQ (Orinda, CA) : Aromas of deep yellow fruits, dark stones and some grass. Flavors of yellow stone fruits, nice river minerals, and even some soft forest floor notes. I wish I had this in a more controlled setting (it was hot outside and no ice bucket) but this opened up so nicely with time. The flavors deepened a bit with the acidity helping the fruits move swiftly on the palate. I imagine this would be …

Straw robe. Bright acidity on the attack. Meyer Lemon, golden stone and orchard fruit, saline through line. Pristine.
