Medoc Masterclass (GuildSomm) (Torque (Napa, CA)) : Higher than average merlot percentage since it’s in the Haut-Medoc. More overt oak, (aged for 12 months) Very slight Brett. More dark plum than the Les Ormes Sorbet (Merlot varietal character?) Acid is lower - slight “jelly donut” plumpness on the palate, but it’s still thin - (Matt Stamp: this will thin out in 5 years).
