Wasn’t very impressed with it upon opening and a short aeration. Bland not a whole lot going on. Put a cork in it let it sit for a couple days came back to it and oh my. Tannins jumped to life, full bodied. All there.

Blind Tasting of Syrah vs Cab : I was specifically looking for pyrazene and could not detect any. I remember this in Sonoma cabs and younger Stonestreets. Good, well integrated tannins. Nice finish but shorter than the Darioush and the Jonata. Flavors were there but more subtle than the Darioush - not as much cassis. Really nice wine.

Just OK and disappointing versus previous Stonestreet purchase.

Big and bold. Dark purple color, great nose, and a nice finish. Like this wine a lot.

Last one in the cellar for this year; velvelt touch on the palate, little tannin; rich bold even and smooth finish; looking forward to '15

Smooth, drinking well. Left open on the counter for 90 minutes before drinking.

At the Healdsburg Tasting Room with the friendly, knowledgeable staff, nose of dark berry fruit, black berry, and rocky earth, same on the palate, big/big body, rich fruit, very tasty, muted fruit today from a bottle opened in front of me, needs ten years to peak, reminds me of the old time La Jota Cabernet Sauvignons, long finish.
