Les Vignerons de Tautavel Vingrau Côtes Catalanes Le Cirque Rosé

Oh yeah. Great rose. Best of the roses I have sampled this summer. Nice strawberry pink color, a bit of "red" body, but elegance too. Limited to no boquet. WA review is spot on.

Starts out with beautiful dark pink color indicative of bleed wine where the skins have been broken. The nose is kind of shy and muted. The taste across the palate is a little disappointing with only minimal real fruit flavor of raspberry and cherry. Lacks the earthy, mineral laced, herbal characteristic we expect from French rose. There also is minimal bite from fresh acidity. Not nearly as concentrated and intense in the flavor department as I recall from past vintages.

Sweet red berries, fresh citrus, spices and minerals lead the way. This softly textured Rosé has just enough acidity for balance

Has some substance, a little more than your standard rose, darker color, too, which isn't really my preference. There's some nice strawberry notes, but I find the palate a tinge sweet.
