Mitre's Edge Sholto

Spent the better part of the day in the car driving so maybe it is not showing its best but it feels somewhat disjointed. Nose is muted with dusty blackberry and raspberry notes and a woody hint of fresh cedar. Palate is a bit thin and hard with blueberry and new leather notes with some unflatteringly sharp edges and a feeling of licking fresh wood. Dark fruit, fumey, plums, jammy fruit. Smooth from start to finish, prominent merlot coming through, firm tannins, lingering finish.
