Virginie de Valandraud Blanc

This a nice wine. On the nose white stone fruit and a floral edge. The palate is quite round: various tropical fruits, a hint of citrus, just slight drying and spicy on the quite long finish. Although this all hangs together nicely and is quite interesting, for me it is a little short of some acidity (it has close to none), which means that for me it doesn't really pair very well with food. Med straw. Peach and wax. Lifted high tone with a hint of lantana. Very clean and varietal. Palate has sweet fruit with a slight phenolic edge. Acidity is low to moderate without being tight or flabby. Very pleasant wine although not a classic.

Ripe grapefruit, citrus and spicy ginger notes with a hint of creamy meyer lemon. Very well balanced with just enough acidity. Long finish with underlying floral note. Excellent example of a Bordeaux Blanc.

Flowers, yellow citrus, lemon grass, white peach, spice and grapefruit pop on the nose. On the palate, the wine is even better with all of its juicy, sweet freshness, racy lemons and fresh pomelo with just a touch of spice in the finish Drink from 2023-2032. 92-92
