Fun wine to try at this age. Not the grandest but quite enjoyable and funky (but with fruit very present). Drink up.

medium++ acidity high toned red and black cranberry/strawberry, tart pomegranate + black soil really fine, glossy texture medium finish more high toned than I would like or expected for a '12 Fourrier, but nevertheless well made.

A really great Bourgogne - strawberry on the nose; and on the palate nice dark fruits with good balance of acidity . Give it about 30mins to an hour before you drink and surely it becomes better. This is 2012 vintage and already very good drinking in 2017. Wonder if it will further develop in years to come .

I am not rating this higher simply because I'm stunned. Should be 92-93 except it lacks one component of greatness, time! This is drinking so well now it just won't go more than a couple of more years. All the parts are there, fruit, terroir, balance, et al., only concern is very very slightly acidic on the finish but wow what a wine for the price and level.

Groffier and Fourrier bourgognes are about as good as these wines get, rich and big but very complex for a bougogne. Should have waited will get better.

As before. "Bright medium red. Ripe red cherry, strawberry, brown spices, clove and a slightly minty nose. Juicy flavors of crushed cranberry and pomegranate with good tart-edged acidity. Quite simply the best Bourgogne I have experienced to date. Wow." Serious juice.

A stellar bourgogne, all about the juicy red fruits. Delicious but can't decide if it's worth the premium.
