Very oaky nose, then very Ramonet mouthfeel with its oily, rich texture, but at the same time very chalky. There is not so much energy but I like the chalkiness of this uphill terroir, and at 30 years of age, it is amazing to see that this wine is still kicking!

Very nice acidity in the backdrop accompanied by hazelnut and menthol. Very good for its level despite being short of complexity.

Enjoyable, but at the very end of its lifecycle.

Hunan and the Gang... (Fresno, Ca.) : Very bright yellow color….had some aged mineral funk to it that never really blew off. Nice alive lemon/lime citrus, crushed rocks, chalk…..some ox of buttered baked apples….creme brule crust……pretty good cream to it…..just a little funky, especially with some other stellar white burgs on the table.

Still going strong. Classic Ramonet aromatics + acidity. will keep well for a few more years

Complex aromas of lime, minerals, hay, and bacon fat. Aromas fill the air when poured. Big, rich and layered, but nicely delineated thanks to lively acidity. Good finish and a drinking at its peak now.
