Château Mourgues du Gres Costières-de-Nîmes Rosé Fleur d'Eglantine

Pretty copper color, good weight, not complex but nice mineral and crisp citric bite on finish. Paired well with mild Indian tomato curry chicken.

Dry rosé wine which definitely is best paired with food instead of a hot humid day. It has plenty of body to pair with grilled fish, shellfish, and even many pork dishes. There is a surprising grapefruit quality at times though almost no residual sweetness. It has a rhubarb nose and some rhubarb in the finish too.

Had it before, still good! Or maybe even a tad better, because of the sun ???? More concentrated than the usual bulk roses. Medium intense aromas of grapefruit, rhubarb, Cantaloupe melon, banana, blossom. Dry wine, high acidity (don’t let the start fool you!), light body, medium+ intense flavours of raspberry, rhubarb, red grapefruit, flint, lemon. Medium+ length finish.
